I. Overview:
1. Introduction:
Polyurethane elastomers possess both high hardness and high elasticity. They have excellent wear resistance, high mechanical strength, outstanding compressive resistance, high surface smoothness; excellent mechanical processing performance; and strong adhesion to metals. Among them, the injection-molded polyurethane elastomer (CPU) is the most important type of polyurethane elastomer. Its large production volume, wide variety of types, and extensive application range are unmatched by other liquid rubbers.
The high-temperature polyurethane elastomer casting machine is a key equipment for producing castable polyurethane elastomers with high hardness and high modulus, using MOCA and other as crosslinking agents.


2. Development Status:
(1) Currently, there are mainly two types of high-temperature polyurethane elastomer pouring machines in the international market:
① European/American style: High level of automation, poor adjustability, high technical requirements for use and maintenance, high price, mainly produced in countries such as Germany and the United States.

② East Asian type: The degree of automation is slightly lower, mainly aiming to meet operational practicality. The adjustability is better, capable of adapting to different raw materials and processes. The requirements for usage and maintenance technology are relatively low, and it can meet the practical needs of developing countries (mainly produced in Japan). China began to continuously import different types of pouring machines in the 1980s. After long-term practical tests, it has been proven that the East Asian type is more suitable for China’s needs and can achieve substantial benefits.

(1) The raw materials are of good quality and the process is appropriate.
(2) The equipment has excellent performance and operates stably and reliably.
(3) The mold design is reasonable, which facilitates the smooth flow of the casting material and the elimination of air bubbles.
(4) The correct operation method (can adopt the appropriate pouring process according to different molds), and in case of abnormal phenomena, it can follow the instructions and procedures.

2. How to minimize the failure rate of the equipment:

(3) Operators or maintenance personnel should perform regular maintenance or replace worn parts as per the requirements. When abnormal phenomena occur in the equipment, they should carefully analyze the situation and promptly take action (if the user is unable to handle it, they can consult the production company or request personnel from the production company to handle it).
